Elvis Presley was born in 1935 in a small country town in the state of Mississippi. Since early childhood, Elvis loved music and singing. He went to bed listening to the radio. Other times, he would run to the cotton fields to listen to black peoples songs. After he had finished school, he decided to make an unusual present for his mother's birthday. At the studio, "Sun", in Memphis, Elvis recorded two songs of his own. He was noticed and invited to come for an audition. In a few weeks Elvis left his job, found a manager
and blew up the conservative music of the 50's by presenting to surprised America an unexpected mixture of "black" and "white" music which was called rock-n-roll.
The first single of one of the most famous past actors, "Heartbreak Hotel," was released in 1956, and in this year Presley has released six "gold records." It was during this period that the glory of the singer reached an apogee. Rather quickly, his songs: "Love Me Tender ", "Don't Be Cruel", "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You", and "Hound Dog" had taken the first places in the charts, within several weeks. October of the same year was marked for the singer by a debut in the cinema. He acted in a film of Hal Wholes - "Love Me Tender ".
Presley worked in various musical styles, liked to experiment and find new tunes in music and songs. In the style of rock-and-roll he had wrote these songs, which afterwards also became classics: "O Sole Mio", "Stuck on You", "It's Now Or Never".
In a genre of Christian hymns and songs of the spiritual sort, the singer worked much and with enthusiasm, and for his album, "How Great Thou Art", it has received the prestigious and highly sought after, "Grammy". Still acting in films, Elvis Presley, by the end of 60 years had played in 30 pictures, the majority of which are mediocre. However, at that time, the name of Elvis Presley in the credits of the film caused great delight in hearts of the youth, and, the majority of these films were designed for a young audience.
The well-known singer paid big attention, not only to music and cinema, but also to the martial arts. With Elvis Presley to thank, the style of "carat" became one of the most popular fighting arts.
